Auburn Edges Oklahoma State for Top Spot in Bushnell/Golfweek DI Coaches’ Poll for September 25, 2026
NORMAN, Okla. – After winning the 18th annual Inverness Intercollegiate by one stroke over host Toledo and East Tennessee State on September 15 in their season opener, defending national champion Auburn claimed No. 1 in the second 2026-27 Bushnell/Golfweek DI Coaches’ Poll. The Tigers received eight first-place votes and 614 points on September 25, two more than Oklahoma State (12 first-place votes and 612 points).
Arizona State (four first-place votes), Illinois, and Texas Tech rounded out the top five. Previous-No. 1 Florida (one first-place vote), Tennessee, Texas, Georgia Tech, and Vanderbilt completed the top 10.
See the rest of the top 25 below. No. 15 New Mexico (from RV), No. 16 Notre Dame (from RV), No. 19 East Tennessee State (from NR), and No. 25 Ohio State (from NR) entered for the first time in 2026-27 after not being ranked in the preseason poll on September 4.
28 others also received votes. The third 2026-27 Bushnell/Golfweek DI Coaches’ Poll will be released on Friday, October 16.
